Apple has officially scheduled its “Surprise and shine” event for September 9 at 10:00 a.m. PT. For viewers in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and Brisbane, that means an early start at 3:00 a.m. AEST on Thursday, September 10.

What time does the Apple event start in Australia?
Apple’s confirmed 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time start translates to 3:00 a.m. AEST on September 10 in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and Brisbane. Adelaide and Darwin viewers can tune in at 2:30 a.m. ACST, while Perth viewers can watch from 1:00 a.m. AWST.
Apple’s Australian event page independently lists the event for 10/9 at 3:00 a.m. AEST.

You do not need to rely on YouTube. Apple has confirmed three official viewing options: Apple.com, the Apple TV app and YouTube Live.
If you’re watching on a television, the Apple TV app may be the simplest option. On a computer or phone, Apple’s website and the official YouTube stream are both straightforward choices.
