Marvel Rivals Season 10 Arrives September 11 With Gorr, God Quarry and Major Balance Changes

By Nino Ray Yeh · September 9, 2026 · 3 min read

Marvel Rivals is preparing to launch Season 10: Butcher’s Blasphemy on September 11, bringing Gorr the God Butcher into the fight alongside new events, costumes and a substantial balance update.

NetEase Games revealed the latest season details in Dev Vision Vol. 21 on September 9, making this one of the biggest Marvel Rivals updates players have to watch this week.

Gorr headlines Marvel Rivals Season 10

The God Butcher is the centrepiece of Season 10. The new season arrives September 11 UTC and shifts the focus toward Gorr as Marvel Rivals continues expanding its playable superhero and villain roster.

For players, the important point is that Season 10 is not simply adding another character. The update is accompanied by new seasonal content, a new costume series and changes that could alter the current competitive meta.

God Quarry is the next new map

Season 10 will also introduce God Quarry, a new Domination map. The map is scheduled to arrive after the September 24 update rather than on the first day of the season, giving Marvel Rivals another significant content drop later in the month.

The staggered release means September should have multiple reasons for players to return instead of concentrating all of Season 10’s content into launch day.

New events and costumes are coming

NetEase is also preparing new Season 10 events and a fresh costume series. Among the announced additions is a new Pajama Party costume collection, while further events are expected to roll out during the season.

Two Jeff-focused events are planned after the September 17 update, adding more unlockable cosmetics and activities shortly after Season 10 begins.

Season 10 makes major balance changes

The September 11 balance update is particularly important for competitive players. NetEase is adjusting Ultimate Energy generation across the entire Strategist class, reducing healing-to-energy conversion from 70% to 65% and damage-to-energy conversion from 55% to 50%.

Several individual heroes are changing as well. Captain America receives more base health and improvements to his abilities, while Emma Frost gains additional health, range and mobility. Magneto, meanwhile, is receiving defensive reductions, including lower base health and weaker Bulwark shields.

Cloak & Dagger are also being toned down, while Deadpool’s Strategist form receives additional health and shorter cooldowns.

Why Season 10 matters for Marvel Rivals players

The combination of a new hero, a new map, events and broad balance adjustments makes Season 10 more than a routine content refresh. Players who have settled into established team compositions may find that the September 11 patch changes which heroes and Strategist combinations are most effective.

It also gives Marvel Rivals a steady stream of September content: Season 10 begins September 11, more events follow after September 17, and God Quarry is scheduled after the September 24 update.

For players returning for Gorr, it will be worth checking the full balance changes before jumping back into competitive matches.
